A winning margin bet in golf betting refers to wagering on the margin by which a player will win a tournament.

This bet allows players to predict how many strokes the winner will finish ahead of the second-place finisher, or it could involve predicting the exact range of strokes (such as 1-3 strokes, 4-6 strokes, etc.) by which the winner will prevail.

Common examples of winning margin betting options include:

  • 1-3 strokes: The winner will finish between 1 and 3 strokes ahead of the runner-up.
  • 4-6 strokes: The winner will finish between 4 and 6 strokes ahead of the runner-up.
  • 7+ strokes: The winner will finish with a margin of 7 strokes ahead of the runner-up.
