The PGA Tour’s West Coast swing will continue on Wednesday, January 25, at the 2023 Farmers Insurance Open. It’s the only PGA Tour event that finishes on a Saturday.
156 golfers are in the field, providing some solid golf betting opportunities. Jon Rahm, who is currently ranked No. 3 in the OWGR and leads the PGA Tour money list this season, comes into this tournament hot off of his win at the American Express.
Rahm is one of five top-10 ranked players playing this week. He will be joined by No. 6 Xander Schauffele, No. 7 Will Zalatoris, No. 8 Collin Morikawa, and No. 9 Justin Thomas. Four more players ranking in the top 20 are in the field, too.
The winner receives 500 FedExCup points and $1.556 million of the $8.7 million purse.
The Farmers Insurance Open will be played at the Torrey Pines North and South courses. Players will play 18 holes on each course before the field is cut to 65 and ties. The final 36 holes will be played at the Torrey Pines South Course.
Where is Torrey Pines located?
Torrey Pines is located in La Jolla, California.
Players alternate between Torrey Pines’ North and South courses for the first two rounds. The final two rounds are played on the South Course.
The South Course hosted the 2021 U.S. Open.
The South Course is the harder of the two, as the North Course has played three shots easier since the course was redesigned in 2016.
