For example: If you bet $20 on the Stars (+500) to win the division, the bet would settle when the Stars are eliminated or when they clinch the division.
The puck line is hockey’s version of the spread. What’s the final scoring margin of the Stars game?
For example: If you bet $20 on the Stars -1.5 (+170) against the St. Louis Blues, Dallas must win the game by at least two goals.
Alternatively, if you bet $20 on the Stars +1.5 (-220) against the Edmonton Oilers, Dallas must lose by one goal (or win the game).
Will the Stars win the game?
For example: If you bet $35 on the Stars -145 against the Vancouver Canucks, Dallas must win the game (in regulation, overtime, or shootout).
If the game ends in a tie, the bet is a push.
How many combined goals will be scored by both teams in the matchup?
For example: If you bet $100 on over 6.5 (-110) in their game against the Florida Panthers, the teams must combine for at least seven goals.
Alternatively, if you bet $100 on under 6.5 (-110), the teams must combine for six or fewer goals.
If the combined goal total is identical to the over/under total, the bet is a push.
You can combine Stars bets and other hockey bets into one parlay.
For example: If you bet $50 on a three-leg parlay with the Stars moneyline (+120) vs. the Carolina Hurricanes, New Jersey Devils moneyline (-135 vs. the Philadelphia Flyers), and over 5.5 (-118) in the New York Rangers-New York Islanders game, all three legs must hit for the bet to cash.
If one bet is a push, it’s eliminated from the parlay, and odds (and payout) are recalculated without that leg.
