The UFC womenโs flyweight championship bout between Alexa Grasso (16-3-1) and Valentina Shevchenko (23-4-1) made headlines this past Saturday, as the two fought in a split decision draw, which retained Grassoโs title in the main event of their UFC Fight Night bout inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. It was an unusual result in the promotion because it rarely happens in MMA odds.

It was only the sixth draw in UFC championship history, and a trilogy fight might be necessary to settle this rivalry among the two flyweights. Both Grasso and Shevchenko enjoyed their moments during the five-round war, where they almost finished each other through strikes and submissions. Because of how incredible the fight went, the draw result may be the fitting ending.
