  • The Minnesota Lynx have made the playoffs in 12 of the previous 13 seasons.
  • The Lynx have a win total of 16.5 after last year's 19-21 campaign.

After missing the playoffs in 2022, the Minnesota Lynx returned to the postseason last summer before losing in the first round.

Minnesota has now notched a postseason berth in 12 of the previous 13 seasons. According to the online sportsbook, the Lynx are a solid bet to remain in the playoffs this season.

Lynx Futures Odds

Win total: 16.5
To make playoffs: -160
To miss playoffs: +135
Championship odds: +5000

The Lynx went 19-21 last year, but their win total has actually dropped to 16.5. Over bettors need to pay -140 juice, while under tickets cost +115.

There is a similar price discrepancy in the playoff odds.

At -160, Minnesota has an implied probability of 61.5% of making the postseason.

Lynx 2024 Betting Prediction

Prediction: To Make Playoffs (-160)

Iโ€™d rather pay 20 cents more to bet on Minnesota making the playoffs instead of touching the win total.ย

The Lynx might not need many wins to make the postseason, especially with how weak the bottom of the league appears to be.

Minnesota has been a safe bet to make the postseason because Cheryl Reeve is one of the best coaches in the league. Reeve took over the team in 2010, and the franchise has only missed the playoffs twice since.

This yearโ€™s roster should continue to have a solid floor.

Napheesa Collier is one of the best players in the league, finishing fourth in WNBA MVP voting last year after averaging 21.5 points and 8.5 rebounds per game. Collier has moved from +5000 to +3000 in the preseason to win this yearโ€™s award.

Guard Diamond Miller should also take a step after an impressive debut season.

The Lynx might still be a year away from competing with the best teams in the league, but they should remain a playoff team.
