Keibert Ruiz Contract: Salary for Nationals Catcher

Keibert Ruiz signed a contract extension with the Washington Nationals before the 2023 season, nearly two years after he was acquire from the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In March 2023, Keibert Ruiz signed an eight-year, $50 million contract that runs through the 2030 season. There are club options for 2031 and 2032.

One of the highest-paid Nationals players, Ruiz is under contract longer than any other player on the team.

Ruiz has an average annual salary of $6.25 million from 2023-30:

  • 2023: $1.375 Million
  • 2024: $6.375 Million
  • 2025: $5.375 Million
  • 2026: $5.375 Million
  • 2027: $5.375 Million
  • 2028: $7.375 Million
  • 2029: $9.375 Million
  • 2030: $9.375 Million

The option salaries for 2031 and 2032 would be $12 million and $14 million, respectively.
