The Rangers are one of six active teams in Major League Baseball to have never won a World Series title. The others are the San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, Colorado Rockies, and Tampa Bay Rays.
Founded in 1961 as the Washington Senators before moving to Texas in 1972, the Rangers have won two AL pennants — 2010 and 2011 — but lost the World Series both years.
