As of June 10, the Texas Rangers have World Series odds of +1600, ranking them sixth in MLB behind the Atlanta Braves (+500), Los Angeles Dodgers (+500), Tampa Bay Rays (+600), Houston Astros (+700), and New York Yankees (+900).
Prior to Opening Day, the online sportsbook had the Rangers at +5000 to win the World Series, but as the team has dominated in the AL West, their odds have changed accordingly.
Texas Rangers World Series History
The Rangers are one of six active teams in Major League Baseball to have never won a World Series title. The others are the San Diego Padres, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, Colorado Rockies, and Tampa Bay Rays.
Founded in 1961 as the Washington Senators before moving to Texas in 1972, the Rangers have won two AL pennants — 2010 and 2011 — but lost the World Series both years. The team has reached the postseason eight times in total, most recently in 2016 when they won the AL West but were ultimately eliminated by the Toronto Blue Jays in the AL Division Series.
