Donovan Mitchell was drafted 13th overall by the Denver Nuggets in the 2017 NBA Draft. 

That means 12 players were selected before him: Markelle Fultz, Lonzo Ball, Jayson Tatum, Josh Jackson, De’Aaron Fox, Jonathan Isaac, Lauri Markkanen, Frank Ntilikina, Dennis Smith Jr., Zach Collins, Malik Monk, and Luke Kennard.
