With Elite Eight matchups, WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, 15 NBA games, and 20 NHL games, there are many online sports betting opportunities at BetMGM. Here are some notable events:

College Basketball

Elite Eight

Saturday, March 25, and Sunday, March 26

North Carolina punched the fourth and final ticket for the 2022 Final Four with a 20-point win over Saint Peter’s in the Elite Eight. Not only did the Tar Heels crush the spread (-8.5) by 11 points, in holding the Peacocks to 49 points, they helped crush the under (140) by 21 points and give the under a 4-0 record in the 2022 Elite Eight.

The under hit by an average of 20.3 points in those four games, extending its winning streak to six games and improving its record to 20-12 since 2014. That’s the best under percentage (.625) for any round in the last eight tournaments.

It’s a dramatic reversal from the previous nine tournaments when Elite Eight unders went 11-25. That was the worst under percentage (.306) for any round from 2005-13.

NBA

Philadelphia 76ers at Phoenix Suns

Saturday, March 25 | 10 p.m. ET

Only two NBA teams have a better ATS winning percentage than the Philadelphia 76ers (.592) this season: Milwaukee Bucks (.597) and Oklahoma City Thunder (.623).

Since opening the season with seven ATS losses in 12 games, the Sixers have been dominant at the sportsbook; entering Friday’s game against the Golden State Warriors, they’ve covered in 37 of their last 60 games and in consecutive games 22 different times.

The Sixers smashed the spread (+1.5) in their first meeting with the Phoenix Suns this season. It was a 12-point home win that ended a mini two-game ATS and outright losing streak.

NHL

Boston Bruins at Carolina Hurricanes

Sunday, March 26 | NHLPP, ESPN+ | 5 p.m. ET

The Carolina Hurricanes need this win a hell of a lot more than the Boston Bruins. The Bruins could forfeit half their remaining games and still cruise to the 1-seed in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Hurricanes, meanwhile, are precariously perched atop the Metropolitan Division with hopes of avoiding the New York Rangers in the first round.

History suggests betting regression could be coming for Boston in the season’s final weeks. And while Carolina has the league’s third-worst ATS winning percentage (.420) and covered only three of their first 10 games in March, they are 2-0 ATS against the Bruins season, most recently covering in a 4-1 home win in January.
