The last time Maryland made the Final Four was 2002. The Terrapins defeated Indiana, 64-52, in the national championship game and won their first and only NCAA title in program history.

Maryland has reached the Final Four twice (2001 and 2002). The Terrapins have made the Elite Eight four times, with two of them coming after the NCAA Tournament expanded to 64 teams in 1985:

The Terrapins are 1-1 in the national semifinals, losing in 2001 and winning in 2002. They lost to Duke, 95-84, in the 2001 Final Four.
