  • The Bengals are predicted to be -7.5-point favorites against the Commanders.
  • Joe Burrow has started 0-2 three straight years, but is 3-0-1 in his last four Week 3 games.
  • My prediction for Monday's game is Ja’Marr Chase’s receiving yards prop.

Seeking an end to their two-game losing streak, the Bengals welcome the Commanders to Cincinnati for Monday Night Football.

Joe Burrow led the Bengals into Kansas City for Week 2. While Cincinnati controlled the game, a late Chiefs field goal doomed the Bengals to their third consecutive 0-2 start.

Washington avenged their Week 1 loss in Tampa Bay with a 21-18 win over the Giants in Week 2. That came despite Washington failing to score an offensive touchdown.

Here’s a look at the NFL betting lines and my Bengals vs. Commanders prediction

Bengals vs. Commanders Odds

  • Cincinnati Bengals Moneyline: -375
  • Washington Commanders Moneyline: +280
  • Game Spread: Cincinnati Bengals -7.5 (-110)
  • Game Over/Under: 47 Points

Bengals vs. Commanders Prediction, MNF

My prediction for Bengals vs. Commanders on MNF is Ja’Marr Chase Over 77.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

This has to be the spot where the Bengals get Chase the ball at a higher rate.

Through two weeks, the LSU product has only 10 catches for 97 yards.

But this matchup presents a clear-cut opportunity for Chase. Washington is 32nd in PFF’s coverage grades through two weeks.

Cincinnati is also their hardest opponent to date. The Bengals are eighth in PFF’s passing grades, with Tampa Bay and New York sitting 12th and 19th, respectively.

Last season, Chase played only two games against teams with a bottom-five PFF coverage grade. Those games resulted in Chase amassing 141 and 192 yards.

In 2022, there were seven teams with a PFF coverage grade south of 60.

Chase played two of those teams and cleared 80 yards both times, with a third 100-yard performance.

Tee Higgins remains out for Cincinnati, so it’s easy to see a scenario where targets funnel to Chase. Take him to clear his receiving yards prop.
