Josh McDaniels Career
McDaniels began his coaching career in the NFL as a personnel assistant with the New England Patriots. He worked his way up and eventually became the offensive coordinator for the franchise in 2006.
After three successful seasons, the Denver Broncos took a chance and hired him as head coach before the 2009 season. The Broncos went 8-8, but the bottom fell out in 2010, and he was fired midway through the campaign.
McDaniels returned to New England after a season in St. Louis and stayed with Bill Belichick until after the 2021 season. He took the head coaching position for the Las Vegas Raiders and was expected to take them to the next level along with the newly acquired Davante Adams. Instead, he’s dangerously close to the NFL hot seat for 2023.
