Roman owns a wealth of NFL experience with other teams. Previously, he served as the OC for the Ravens, Bills and 49ers.
His longest tenures amongst those three teams came with Baltimore and San Francisco.
The 53-year-old spent four seasons coordinating Baltimore’s offense from 2019-22. He worked in San Francisco between 2011-14.
Roman began his NFL coaching career with the Carolina Panthers. He worked in Carolina between 1995 and 2001 before four seasons with the Texans.
After working with tight ends and quarterbacks in Houston, Roman spent two additional seasons with Baltimore.
In his first stint with the Ravens, Roman operated as an assistant offensive line coach.
His current role marks the second time working with Harbaugh. From 2009-10, Roman worked as a Stanford assistant coach.
