- Klayton Adams joins the Cowboys as offensive coordinator in 2025.
- Adams spent six seasons with the Colts and Cardinals prior to Dallas.
- Adams also owns 10 years of Division I coaching experience in the NCAA.
Brian Schottenheimer’s first Cowboys staff places Klayton Adams as the offensive coordinator.
Adams joins Dallas after a two-year stint in Arizona. There, he served as the Cardinals’ offensive line coach.
Before Arizona, Adams worked four years with the Indianapolis Colts.
His first two seasons in Indy saw Adams work as an assistant offensive line coach. After, he spent two seasons as the Colts’ tight end coach.
Prior to accumulating that NFL experience, Adams worked 13 seasons in college football.
Ten of those seasons came in Division I, including six with Colorado. In Boulder, Adams worked with running backs, tight ends and the offensive line.
Rounding out Adams’ coaching experience are spells with Boise State, Western Washington, Sacramento State and San Jose State.
He’ll take over a Cowboys offense that struggled in Dak Prescott’s absence last season. Dallas dipped to 25th in offensive DVOA in 2024, down from ninth in 2023, per ftnfantasy.com.
