Selected in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the then St. Louis Rams, kicker Greg Zuerlein enters his second year with the New York Jets after signing a one-year deal as an unrestricted free agent on March 13.

Greg Zuerlein Salary

The Jets kicker will make a base salary of $1,750,000 with a signing bonus of $500,000 and a roster bonus of $350,000.

Greg Zuerlein Cap Hit

Zuerlein carries a $2,600,000 cap hit for the Jets for the 2023 season.

Greg Zuerlein Potential Extension

Zuerlein inked a one-year extension with the Jets in early March after a successful 2022. Zuerlein is an 11-year veteran who spent his first eight seasons with the Rams before moving to the Dallas Cowboys in 2020.

Entering his 12th NFL season, Zuerlein has hit 82.3 percent of his field goal attempts and 95.8 percent of his extra points. He has 292 career-made field goals and connected on 23-of-31 field goals with the Jets in 2022.

Zuerlien’s roster spot is about as secure as one can get in the NFL, but should the Jets trade him after June 1, New York would save $2.1 million in cap space.
