Drafted No. 117 overall in 2018 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, safety Jordan Whitehead has found a new home with the New York Jets.

Jordan Whitehead Salary

Whitehead was drafted by the Buccaneers and played his first four seasons there before signing with the New York Jets. Whitehead signed a two-year, $14,500,000 contract with the New York Jets, including a $5,965,000 signing bonus, $7,000,000 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $7,250,000.

Jordan Whitehead Cap Hit

The 26-year-old carries a $10,232,500 cap hit in 2023.

Jordan Whitehead Potential Extension

Whitehead is coming off a 2022 season with the New York Jets, where he played the highest snap percentage of his career at 99.3%. In addition, he tallied a career-best 85 tackles and tied his career high with two interceptions. Whitehead showed more production with more playing time, but questions about his consistency remain.

If Whitehead can build off his 2022 season, another similar contract could be in store for him.
