When the Chicago Bears ended up with the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, there was little doubt the quarterback-starved franchise would use it to nab USCโ€™s Caleb Williams.

That left former No. 1 pick Justin Fields as the odd man out. He was traded to Pittsburgh in March for a sixth-round pick.

Fields is now in one of the leagueโ€™s premiere quarterback dramas opposite the aging Russell Wilson.ย

Which flawed quarterback will be best for the Steelersโ€™ odds? That remains to be seen.ย

Justin Fields Contract

Following the 2021 NFL Draft, Justin Fields signed a four-year, $18.9 million contract with the Bears. The entire contract is fully guaranteed.

Justin Fields 5th Year Option

Justin Fieldsโ€™ fifth-year option was declined by the Steelers in April. Without a new contract, he will be a free agent in March.ย

Justin Fields Salary

Justin Fieldsโ€™ base salary for the 2024 season is $1,616,724. He will make an additional $1.6 million in roster bonuses.ย

Justin Fields Signing Bonus

Justin Fields Trade

The sixth-round pick Pittsburgh gave to Chicago for Fields will be upgraded to a fourth-round selection if he plays 51% of the Steelersโ€™ offensive snaps in 2024.ย
