The New York Jets currently have the longest playoff drought not only in the NFL, but also in professional sports.

In 2010, the Jets lost to the Pittsburgh Steelers, 24-19, in the AFC Championship. New York has not seen the postseason since.

After the Jets is the Denver Broncos, who have not seen the playoffs since 2015, where they won Super Bowl 50 against the Carolina Panthers, 24-10.

The other teams that have a playoff drought which spans before 2020 are the Atlanta Falcons and Panthers, who each last competed in the playoffs during the 2017 season.

Atlanta lost in the Divisional Round to the Philadelphia Eagles, 15-10, and Carolina lost in the Wild Card Round to the New Orleans Saints, 31-26.
