  • Texans, Falcons and Seahawks have the worst NFL odds of making the playoffs.
  • Two 2021 postseason teams are in the bottom 10 for playoff odds this year.

Inevitably, some NFL teams will take a step back and disappoint this season. Here’s an examination of the lowest NFL betting odds for teams to make the postseason.

Worst NFL Playoff Odds

As of Aug. 19, the Texans have the lowest odds of making the NFL playoffs at +1400. Despite hiring a new, experienced head coach in Lovie Smith, this roster is not necessarily lined with premier talent.

The Falcons are second lowest in NFL playoff odds at +700. While moving on and trading away Matt Ryan may have been helpful for the long-term future of the franchise, it sure doesn’t help them in 2022.

With the third-lowest odds to make the NFL postseason, the Seahawks are at +600. They also traded away a franchise quarterback in Russell Wilson, which will likely leave them in a tough spot this year.

NFL Playoff Potential Letdowns

The Vikings have -115 odds to reach the NFL playoffs. While Justin Jefferson is an elite wide receiver, first-year head coach Kevin O’Connell and quarterback Kirk Cousins may take some time to jell.

The Eagles have the ninth-best odds to make the playoffs at -175. While they did get to the postseason last year and have great potential on offense, their defensive front seven could be a liability.

The Titans have NFL playoff odds of +100, just outside of being a favorite, but that might even be too high. They lost standout receiver AJ Brown and had some issues exposed in last year’s playoffs.
