  • Spencer Rattler is projected to be the Saintsโ€™ backup QB this season.
  • If Rattler starts for New Orleans, rookie Tyler Shough would presumably back him up.
  • Rattler finished 1-5 ATS in six starts with the Saints last season.

After six starts with the Saints last season, Spencer Rattler moves into the backup QB role.ย

Rattlerโ€™s role transition comes after the Saints drafted Tyler Shough, the presumed starter. However, if New Orleans starts Rattler, itโ€™s likely Shough becomes the backup.ย

Last season, Rattler played six games for the Saints. New Orleans finished 0-6 in those games. Offensively, the Saints managed only 12.3 points per game.ย

Spencer Rattler Betting Data

In addition to struggling straight up, Rattler proved a liability for bettors. In his six starts last season, Rattler finished 1-5 ATS.ย

His lone cover came in Week 18 against the Bucs as a 14.5-point underdog.ย

Spencer Rattler Contract Information

Rattler enters the second year of his rookie deal with New Orleans, who took him in the fifth round of the 2024 draft.ย

Heโ€™s slated to count just over $1 million against the cap. In terms of base salary, Rattler will make $960,000 this season.ย
