Mike Pereira is a former NFL official who currently works as the rules analyst for Fox Sports.

Thatโ€™s notable, since Fox Sports has the broadcast rights for Super Bowl LVII.

Pereira worked as a referee in both college football and the NFL before being promoted to NFL supervisor of officiating in 1998. Three years later, he was promoted to director; then, in 2004, he was promoted again to NFL Vice President of Officiating.

Pereira retired from the NFL in 2009, but he still works as head of officiating for the USFL. He is often heard on Fox broadcasts explaining the technicalities of certain rules or offering his opinion on tough penalties.
