The Boston Bruins had the best moneyline record of the 2022-23 NHL season, but they weren’t the only team racking up an impressive list of wins. The New Jersey Devils and Carolina Hurricanes tied for the second-to-best record, having each won 63.4% of their games, while the Vegas Golden Knights and Colorado Avalanche weren’t far behind them.

Here are some notes on the best NHL teams to bet on last season, along with full records:

1. Boston Bruins

Record: 65-17

They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Florida Panthers, but during the 2022-23 regular season, the Bruins dominated. Their 65-17 record gave them a win percentage of 79.3% and an ROI of 23.4%.

While the Bruins recorded a higher win percentage at home, their ROI was higher on the road. At home, they went 33-7 for an ROI of 19.4%, while as visitors, they went 31-10 for 26.6% ROI.

2. New Jersey Devils

Record: 52-30

The Devils’ regular season record of 52-30 saw them advance through to the playoffs, but despite their fierce offense, they were knocked out by the Carolina Hurricanes in the second round. Still, a 63.4% win percentage for an ROI of 8.2% isn’t too bad at all.

At home, the Devils went 24-17 for an ROI of -7.5%, but they fared much better on the road, posting a record of 28-13 for an ROI of 23.9%.

3. Carolina Hurricanes

Record: 52-30

The Hurricanes tied the Devils for the league’s second-best record at 52-30, but their ROI was a disappointing -1%. Still, a 63.4% win percentage is nothing to scoff at, and they’re definitely a team to watch for moneyline betting.

In 2022-23, the Hurricanes went 28-13 at home for an ROI 1.7%, and on the road, they went 24-17 for an ROI of -3.6%.
