This weekend’s sports calendar includes Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final, Game 4 of the NBA Finals, and a loaded MLB schedule, including the Red Sox-Yankees series.

Here’s a look at the biggest online sports betting opportunities from Friday night through Sunday.

NBA Finals Game 4: Nuggets at Heat

Friday, June 9 | 8:30 p.m. ET  | ABC

When the Boston Celtics hosted the Golden State Warriors in Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals, it was the 32nd time since the 2005-06 season the home team lost the previous game of the series.

And when the Celtics failed to cover the spread (-4) in a 13-point loss, it was the 20th time in those 32 games the home team failed to cover.

Since the 2006 NBA Finals, post-loss home teams are just 12-19-1 ATS. The Miami Heat need to beat the Denver Nuggets at home in Game 4 or, as of Friday morning’s NBA odds, lose by three or fewer points to cover and avoid their first home ATS losing streak of the postseason.

Stanley Cup Final Game 4: Golden Knights at Panthers

Saturday, June 10 | 8 p.m. ET  | TNT

The Vegas Golden Knights dominated Games 1 and 2 as the moneyline favorite. The Florida Panthers didn’t dominate Game 3 as they moneyline favorite but they did return the favor and continue an incredible run for favorites in the first four games of the Stanley Cup Final.

Moneyline favorites are now 56-15 (.788) in Games 1-4 since the 2005-06 season. The ROI on those teams is a staggering +33%.

In no other round do moneyline favorites have a winning percentage greater than .586, nor are they profitable.

As of Friday morning, the Panthers are favored again (-120) in Game 4.

Red Sox at Yankees

Friday, June 9 – Sunday, June 11 | FOX (Saturday) and ESPN (Sunday)

If you bet $100 on the New York Yankees’ run line and $100 on the Yankees’ moneyline in each of the 162 regular-season matchups against the Boston Red Sox over the last 10 years (since 2014), you’d be up nearly $5,000, a return on investment (ROI) of approximately 15%.

It’s the highest ROI for any one team against one opponent over that time.

The Red Sox did show hope of reversing the betting struggles last season when they went 12-7 ATS, their best mark against the Yankees since 2013.
