The 3M Open will begin Thursday, July 27, from TPC Twin Cities, and even with it not being a designated event and the week following the Open Championship, it has a solid field.
Defending champion Tony Finau and Cameron Young have the best odds to win at +1400.
Scoring at TPC Twin Cities should be higher than usual, as the winning score in the four editions of the tournament has been at least 15-under. It isn’t a true birdie fest, as there are several water hazards, so the potential is there for some high scores to be made on certain holes.

3M Open 2023: First-Round Leader (FRL) Bets
Cameron Young +3000 First-Round Leader
This is a strategy to attack most weeks when it comes to selecting the player with the best odds to both win the event and to be the first-round leader. Young is +1400 to win the tournament and +3000 to lead after the first round, which presents some solid value.
If Young gets hot, he can make birdies in bunches.
Sahith Theegala +4500 First-Round Leader
Theegala is 14th on the PGA Tour this year in birdie average (4.19), and at a course like TPC Twin Cities, he could take full advantage of the easy conditions.
The 25-year-old is seeking his first win on the PGA Tour, and it feels like it could come at any time.
Ludvig Aberg +5000 First-Round Leader
Aberg is making his presence felt in just a few events on the PGA Tour after getting full status following being No. 1 in the PGA Tour University rankings during his time at Texas Tech. In his few events, he’s shown the ability to go very low.
So while he may need some experience to put four rounds together, one round should be no problem.
