The year’s first major was April 10-13 at Augusta National.
In what was a thrilling tournament, with plenty of ups and downs on Sunday, Rory McIlroy defeated Justin Rose in a playoff to complete the career Grand Slam.
Both players finished at 11-under.
McIlroy made double bogey on 13, and bogeys on 14 and 18 to allow for Rose to force a playoff. McIlroy also birdied 15 and 17 in a wild back-nine.
The purse was $21 million, up from $20 million last year.
