- The 2024 PGA Championship was May 16-19 from Valhalla Golf Club.
- The purse was $18.5 million with a winner's share of $3,330,000.
- Xander Schauffele won his first major.
Golf’s second major, the PGA Championship from Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, was one for the ages.
The course, which has hosted multiple PGA Championships and the 2008 Ryder Cup, played easier than expected thanks to soft greens. It was also a week that will be remembered for Scottie Scheffler being arrested prior to Friday’s second trying to gain access to the course.
This came following a bus crash that tragically killed a volunteer working the tournament.
Xander Schauffele was the winner at the end of the week, finishing at 21-under, one shot better than Bryon DeChambeau.
It was his first career major.
The purse was set for $18.5 million.
