  • The Players Championship was March 14-17.
  • It had the biggest purse of the year ($25 million) and winner's share ($4.5 million)
  • Scottie Scheffler won for the second straight year.

In a season with increased PGA Tour prize money payouts, it doesn’t get any bigger than the Players Championship, March 14-17 from TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.

It is one of the purest courses players play all year long.

In a very exciting final round, Scottie Scheffler won for the second straight year, becoming the first player in the event’s history to win in two consecutive years.

Thanks to his 64 on Sunday, he finished at 20-under, one shot better than Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, and Brian Harman. Clark barely missed a putt on the 72nd hole, which would have forced a playoff.

The event had the biggest purse on the PGA Tour of $25 million.

How Much Does the Winner of the Players Championship Make?

The winner’s share for the 2024 Players Championship is $4.5 million.
