With the Masters, 18 NHL games, 15 MLB series, and the final week of the NBA regular season, there are many online sports betting opportunities this weekend at BetMGM. Here are some notable events:

Golf

The Masters

Thursday, April 6 through Sunday, April 9 | CBS

This week’s major highlight is the 87th edition of the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia. Scottie Scheffler won the tournament in 2022; before this week’s tournament got underway, he was a +700 co-favorite in the Masters betting odds market, alongside Rory McIlroy.

Jordan Spieth (+1800) was also a popular target for bettors, drawing 9.3% of the overall market handle at BetMGM by Wednesday morning. He last won the Masters in 2015.

Unsurprisingly, there is a huge tide of action surrounding Tiger Woods’ return to the Masters. The 47-year-old made the cut last year and has won the tournament as recently as 2019.

Tiger is +6600 to win the tournament and is the No. 1 market liability for the BetMGM online sportsbook. Thousands of bettors wagered on whether he could make the cut (Yes -190; No +150).

A top-20 finish for Tiger, which was priced at +175, was one of the most popular special markets of the week.

NHL

Devils at Bruins

Saturday, April 8 | ABC | 8 p.m. ET

Saturday night features a major showdown in the NHL odds market — and perhaps an Eastern Conference finals preview — between the Boston Bruins and the New Jersey Devils.

New Jersey tied a franchise record early this season with 13 consecutive wins in October and November. The Devils were 21-4-1 on Dec. 6, which was the best mark in the NHL.

Ultimately, though, it’s the Bruins who have been dominant down the stretch, having already clinched the Presidents’ Trophy with a week left in the regular season. They’re currently +200 to win the Stanley Cup, with 48% of all tickets in the market.

While Boston is a whopping 23 points ahead of Toronto in the Atlantic Division, the Devils (106 pts) are facing stiff competition from Carolina (109) and the Rangers (103) at the top of the Metropolitan Division.

The Devils will need a win in Boston to keep pace. The Bruins are 31-4 at home on the season.

NBA

Kings at Nuggets

Sunday, April 9 | 3:30 p.m. ET

The NBA will wrap up its regular season this weekend, with Sunday’s schedule serving up game No. 82 for all 30 teams in the Association.

The best game of the bunch should be the upstart Kings getting an unofficial taste of the playoffs with a road game at Denver — a potential Western Conference finals opponent.

Sports fans won’t know Sacramento’s playoff matchup (or NBA playoff odds) until Sunday night, and Denver’s won’t be settled until after the play-in tournament.

That said, both the Nuggets (+750) and Kings (+5000) rank among the NBA’s top three most efficient offenses and have a clear path to the West Conference finals.

It also spells the potential for fireworks in Denver on Sunday.
