The PGA Tour is back with the 2025 season kicking off with The Sentry from the Plantation Course in Kapalua, Hawaii.

It is a PGA Tour signature event with increased FedEx Cup points on the line, as well as a $20 million purse with a $3.6 million winnerโ€™s share.

As of Monday, there are 59 players in the field. All last season’s winners and the top 50 in last yearโ€™s FedEx Cup standings were invited.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler is not teeing it up following a freak hand injury suffered on Christmas. Neither is Rory McIlroy, who has historically skipped this event.

With that said a number of other top players are teeing it up, which will make for a great start to the season when it comes to golf betting.

Who Has the Best Course History at the Plantation Course for The Sentry?

Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, Patrick Cantlay, Sungjae Im and Justin Thomas are the players who have the best course history at the Plantation Course for The Sentry.

Collin Morikawa

While heโ€™s yet to win this event, Morikawa has enjoyed tremendous success. In the last five years, he has the most Strokes Gained at the event and has three straight top five finishes.

In fact, he hasnโ€™t finished any worse than T-7 in the last five editions.

Xander Schauffele

On top of winning in 2019, he followed that up with a T-2 in 2020 and a T-5 in 2021. Schauffele had to withdraw with a back injury in 2023 and finished T-10 a year ago.

The results arenโ€™t as good in the past few editions, but itโ€™s clear Schauffele knows his way around the Plantation Course.

Patrick Cantlay

Since 2020, Cantlay has the third-most Strokes Gained at this tournament, including two top-five finishes.

Heโ€™s taken a step back the last two years with a T-12 last year and a T-16 in 2023, but those finishes still arenโ€™t too shabby.

Sungjae Im

Im has only played this event four times, but he hasnโ€™t finished any worse than T-13, which was in 2023. The other three appearances saw him finish no worse than T-8.

Itโ€™s clear the wide fairways and windy conditions are a good fit for Im.

Justin Thomas

Thomas doesn’t have the same recent success as the others, but he’s the only player in the field to have won this event twice (2017 and 2020).

He finished T-25 in his last appearance at the event (2023).
