Man City vs. Wolves Prediction, Odds, Pick | Premier League Match Preview

Seeking their sixth consecutive Premier League win, Manchester City welcomes Wolverhampton Wanderers to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday. 

Both teams enter Saturday’s standalone fixture in good form. City returns home for the first time since April 13, having blown out Brighton and Nottingham Forest 4-0 and 2-0, respectively. 

As for Wolves, they earned all three points at home against Luton Town last weekend to end a six-match winless run. 

Here’s a look at the EPL odds and my prediction for Saturday’s fixture.

When Wolves are required to face a title threat this season, they struggle to clear this number. 

Although it’s only a four-match sample, they’ve stayed under this number three times against Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool. 

The lone success came at home, where Wolves generally show more attacking interest and garner a higher corner account. 

Through 18 home matches at Molineux this season, Wolves have accumulated 90 corners. On the road, they’ve amassed only 56 corner kicks. 

Of the aforementioned four-match sample of Wolves matches against title contenders, they’ve played only once on the road. 

That came back on December 2 against Arsenal, who faced a Wolves side with all their attackers healthy. 

In that match, manager Gary O’Neill’s side notched zero corners and only 12 touches in Arsenal’s penalty box. 

When Wolves last played Manchester City – at home – they didn’t attempt a single corner. 

On the other side, this is a Manchester City team that doesn’t surrender many corners when they dominate the ball at home.

Sample nine games at the Etihad in which they’ve held more than 70% possessions and bettors will find they’ve held seven teams under this number. 

Across all nine games, manager Pep Guardiola’s side has allowed only 1.67 corners per game, with only one team reaching four (Arsenal). 

With Wolves likely to sit back and show little attacking interest, lay the price on them to finish under 2.5 corners.
