BetMGM has updated Boston Red Sox odds, including run lines, moneylines, over/under totals, futures, parlays, and prop bets.
You can view all available odds at the online sportsbook throughout the offseason, spring training, regular season, and postseason.
Will the Red Sox win the AL East? Do they have a contender in AL Cy Young odds? What’s their over/under win total? These are some types of team and futures odds.
For example: If you bet $100 on the Sox to make the postseason (+180), the bet would settle when the Sox clinch a postseason berth or are eliminated from contention.
If you bet on the run line (aka spread), you’re betting on the final margin of the Red Sox game.
For example, if you bet $65 on the Red Sox -1.5 (+160) against the New York Yankees, Boston must win the game by at least two runs.
BetMGM also offers alternate run lines (aka alt spreads), for all MLB games. Instead of betting the Sox -1.5 (+160), you could bet the Sox -2.5 (+300).Â
Will the Red Sox win the game? The margin of victory is irrelevant.
For example: If you bet $110 on the Red Sox -140 against the Tampa Bay Rays, Boston must win the game.Â
If the game ends in a tie, the bet is a push, which triggers a refund to your account balance.
How many combined runs will be scored by both teams? The final result of the game is irrelevant.
For example: If you bet $5 on the over 9.5 (-110) in the Red Sox game against the Toronto Blue Jays, the teams must combine for at least 10 runs.Â
BetMGM also offers alternate over/under totals for all MLB games. Instead of betting over 9.5 (-110), you could bet over 11.5 (+350), a wager with a higher potential payout.
If the combined point total is identical to the over/under total, the bet is a push.
You can combine multiple Boston bets into one parlay for more excitement and a bigger potential payout. If the bets are from the same game, it’s called a Same Game Parlay.
For example: If you build a three-leg parlay with the Red Sox moneyline (+150) against the Yankees, Rays’ run line (+1.5, -150) against the Houston Astros and over 6.5 (-110) in the Arizona Diamondbacks’ game against the Los Angeles Dodgers, you need all three legs to hit for your parlay to cash.
If one leg is a push, it’s eliminated from the parlay. The odds (and payout) are recalculated without that leg.
