  • College World Series odds at BetMGM price Tennessee as a +400 favorite.
  • Tennessee is the defending national champion, but 2023 champ LSU is the most popular ticket at BetMGM.

With the college basketball national championship odds market now paid out and refreshed for next yearโ€™s 2025-26 season, many NCAA sports fans are looking ahead to the spring championship season.ย

Those playoff seasons, which are mostly played in May and June, include more niche sports like lacrosse. The most popular offering of the group is, of course, college baseball.

The NCAA baseball season culminates with a playoff format that includes 16 different four-team regionals, which eventually plays all the way down to an eight-team College World Series.

College baseball is quickly growing into one of the most popular spring sports, particularly in the South. As a result, this is one online sports betting market thatโ€™s exploding with new players in 2025.ย

Based on the current futures market, the Tennessee Volunteers have an implied 20% chance to win the 2025 College World Series.

College Baseball Odds: SEC Dominates Early Market (As Usual)

Much like in 2024, early regular-season betting has focused on a handful of consistent SEC teams: Texas A&M, Arkansas, LSU, and Tennessee.ย

The latter two, both of which reside in legal betting states, account for 28.7% of tickets and 28.9% of handle at BetMGM as of April 4.

Tennessee is the defending national champion and the sensible market favorite at +400. The Vols lost both ends of a doubleheader against A&M during the first weekend of April, temporarily dropping them in the standings behind other surefire NCAA Tournament teams.

So far, thatโ€™s not enough to cool the market, which likes Tennessee to go back-to-back for the first time since conference mate South Carolina did it in 2010-11.ย

The early market challenger is LSU (+500), which won the CWS in 2023 and leads all teams at BetMGM with about 16% of all tickets. The Tigersโ€™ .328 team batting average is second in the SEC and sixth nationally.ย

Texas A&M, which lost to Tennessee in the title series last June, opened at +1100 as a popular betting target. But the Aggies have disappointed so far this year, losing nine of their first 12 conference games in an admittedly deep SEC. Their CWS odds have been adjusted up to +4000.

The SEC accounts for five of the top six teams in the table. The lone interloper is Clemson at 12-to-1, which accounts for roughly 5% of the early market tickets.
