How I’d Use BetMGM’s Bonus Bet for MLB Opening Day

BetMGM users can celebrate MLB Opening Day with a Bonus Bet for Thursday’s MLB odds.

How would I use a Bonus Bet for Thursday’s games?

I’d take a swing with my longest odds pick for Opening Day: Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop Oneil Cruz to hit a home run against the Miami Marlins.

Thanks to the juicy odds, Cruz is my favorite MLB home run props prediction for Thursday. Based on his 13.5% projection of hitting a homer, Cruz should be priced closer to +640 instead of his current +875 odds.

Cruz clubbed a home run during last year’s opener in a 5-4 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. It marked his only homer of the season, as he was limited to nine games due to injury in 2023.

The 6-foot-7 leadoff hitter flashed plenty of power for the Pirates in spring training, hitting seven homers in 16 games. He will look to maintain that momentum in the regular season.
