MLB Over/Under Picks Today
My favorite over/under pick today is under 9.5 runs (-110) for Tuesday’s matchup between the Detroit Tigers and Colorado Rockies at Coors Field.
Taking an under at Coors Field never feels comfortable, but this isn’t a typical day in Denver in May. Temperatures are projected to be in the 40s by first pitch, with the wind blowing in.
In addition, two elite pitching prospects will take the mound. Jackson Jobe gets the start for Detroit, while Chase Dollander will take the bump for Colorado. Both hurlers have tremendous upside and are worth backing in a pitcher-friendly situation.
MLB Moneyline Picks Today
As my favorite MLB moneyline pick today, I like the St. Louis Cardinals ML (+100) price to defeat the Pittsburgh Pirates for Tuesday’s matchup at Busch Stadium.
Betting against Paul Skenes is difficult, but the Pirates have done a terrible job helping him during their 12-24 start. Pittsburgh has lost five in a row and has a -51 run differential on the season.
St. Louis left-hander Matthew Liberatore will get the start for the home team, carrying a 3.44 ERA into tonight’s matchup. The Pirates tagged him for five runs on April 7, but they have typically struggled against left-handed pitching.
I’ll take a +100 price to fade the Pirates in this spot.
