MLB Playoff Predictions 2025
Entering the 2025 MLB season, the Seattle Mariners (-105 to make the playoffs) stand out as my favorite prediction to reach the postseason.
I expect a bounce-back campaign from Julio Rodríguez and the Mariners. Rodríguez is my favorite value bet as an AL MVP odds sleeper with his +4000 price tag.
Seattle finished 85-77 last year to finish one game back in the AL wild-card race, though its Pythagorean record of 89-73 suggests it got unlucky. In fact, had the Mariners not blown an eight-run lead to the Royals on June 7, they would have made the postseason.
I’m trusting an elite pitching staff in a division that has become more vulnerable since the Astros traded away Kyler Tucker and let Alex Bregman walk in free agency.
