  • The 2024 MLB Trade Deadline is July 30 at 6 p.m. ET.
  • The White Sox, Angels, and Blue Jays are the top sellers on the market.

The MLB Trade Deadline can be a harsh reality check for some teams.

While every team enters the year with aspirations of being a World Series odds contender, this is the time when some teams must choose to prioritize their future outlook instead.

Here is a look at the top sellers ahead of this yearโ€™s MLB Trade Deadline on July 30:

MLB Trade Deadline 2024: Top 3 Sellers to Watch

Chicago White Sox

It seems difficult to believe the Chicago White Sox are the worst team in the league, as they are the most attractive seller at this yearโ€™s deadline.

They have many top targets in the latest MLB trade deadline player rankings.

Left-handed starter Garrett Crochet should be the prize at this yearโ€™s deadline, thanks to his ability to generate strikeouts. Erick Fedde could also boost any rotation after reinventing himself in South Korea last season.

For the White Sox, a key decision in their rebuild strategy could be the potential trade of outfielder Luis Robert Jr. His departure could bring in a wealth of prospects, accelerating the team’s rebuilding process.

Los Angeles Angels

As for the Los Angeles Angels, their situation at the trade deadline is intriguing. They chose not to trade Shohei Ohtani at last yearโ€™s deadline, only to see him join the Los Angeles Dodgers in the offseason.ย

Now that they are set to miss the playoffs for a 10th consecutive season, the Angels should be fielding plenty of calls and considering their options.

Starter Tyler Anderson, closer Carlos Estรฉvez, and outfielder Taylor Ward should all generate plenty of interest from the top buyers.

Toronto Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays must decide how badly they want to bottom out.

If the Blue Jays were to make Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. available, they could pass the White Sox as the most attractive seller this month. Both players can enter free agency in 2025.

Still, Toronto has many starting pitchers to sell, including Yusei Kikuchi, Chris Bassitt, and Kevin Gausman. Outfielder Kevin Kiermaier could be on the move, too, as contending teams seek a strong glove in center.
