  • Here’s a list of every NBA team’s biggest trades in their respective franchise history.
  • Each team’s listed player had the most significant impact or the biggest haul of players included in the deal.

The trade market is one of the most exciting and intriguing facets of the NBA. It’s where teams transact with each other to either improve their roster (and NBA championship odds) or start a rebuild.

These exchanges and swaps of players were also responsible for altering the landscape of the league.

Some of the biggest trades that shifted the NBA’s power and produced multiple championships for their respective teams include:

  • The Boston Celtics’ acquisition of Bill Russell in 1956 (which racked up 11 titles)
  • Scottie Pippen’s arrival in Chicago in 1987 (which piled up six titles)
  • The legendary stint of LeBron James in Miami, resulting in four straight NBA Finals appearances and two titles

Regardless of these monumental trades that sent shockwaves across the basketball community, all the teams in the NBA have made their fair share of the biggest trades in their respective franchises.

Find out the biggest trades for each NBA team below.
