  • The Pacers are -4.5 against the Knicks in Game 6.
  • Indiana is behind 3-2 in the series and is down to +200 to win the series.
  • Why bettors should expect continued success for Indiana’s offense early.

After a blowout loss at Madison Square Garden in Game 5, the Pacers return home to face the Knicks in Game 6.

New York, despite OG Anunoby’s absence on Monday, continued the streak of home teams winning every game this series.

Including the regular season games, home teams have won seven of eight in this series.

Here’s a look at the NBA playoff odds and my pick for Game 6.

NBA Playoff Odds – Knicks vs. Pacers

  • Pacers Moneyline: -210
  • Knicks Moneyline: +170
  • Spread: Pacers -4.5
  • Over/Under: 216.5 Points
  • Series Price: Knicks (-250), Pacers (+200)

Knicks vs. Pacers Prediction – NBA Playoffs, Game 6

Pacers 1Q Over 28.5 Points (-115)

On the heels of their worst performance in the playoffs, bettors should expect Indiana to start strong out of the gates.

For all of their issues in Game 5, the Pacers actually started well early. Indiana scored 32 points in the first quarter before combining for 59 points in the final three.

That’s indicative of a strong record in the first quarter against the Knicks this season.

Sample the first five games of the series, and bettors will find that Indiana has cleared this number in four straight contests.

Including the three regular season games, the Pacers have cleared this number in six of eight first quarters against the Knicks.

They perform even better in the first quarter at home.

In three home games against New York, the Pacers have cleared this number all three times while averaging 31.7 first quarter points per game.

That’s close to their season-long average for home first quarter points per game (32.5). Plus, New York allows 1.5 more first quarter points per game away from home.

Even more concerning for New York? Their road record this postseason, irrespective of opponent, has left a lot to be desired.

In the first round against Philadelphia, a side 18 spots worse than Indiana in home first quarter points per game, they allowed 25.3 first quarter points per game.

For those reasons, take the Pacers to clear their first quarter total for the fifth straight contest.
