VCU is the No. 1 seed and clear favorite to win one of the automatic bids during this week of college basketball conference tournaments.
If the Rams win their conference championship, they’ll automatically make the field as a dangerous No. 10 or 11 seed.
On the other hand, if they should fail to win the championship, they’ll be a clear bubble team at the mercy of other conferences’ bid steals.
In that scenario, VCU is more likely than not to make the field, but Rams fans surely don’t want to leave their fate in the hands of the NCAA Tournament committee.
