Bo Nix had quite the college career. As a young quarterback at Auburn, he was the poster child for dramatic home/road splits, famous for his brutally bad performances at other SEC venues outside of eastern Alabama.
But after transferring to Oregon, Nix eventually grew into an experienced, mature passer who confidently helmed one of the best teams in college football in 2023. That earned him a first-round draft berth in 2024, when Sean Payton selected him as the heir apparent in Denver.

Like all first-round picks, Nix’s rookie contract can be extended by the Broncos for a fifth year. That extension would govern the 2028 NFL season.
