Brian Burns Cap Hit:
The 24-year-old will carry a $16,012,000 cap hit in 2023.
Brian Burns Potential Extension:
Burns has been impressive in each of his seasons in the league. The 6-foot-5 defensive end has been an absolute terror in the trenches for opposing defenses. The former Seminole finished 2022 with 34 tackles and 12.5 sacks.
Although the Panthers have missed the playoffs for the last few years, the defense has not been to blame. Carolina’s defense kept the team in many games this past year that they had no business being in, and Burns was a big part of that.
Comparing his numbers, age, and production to other star defensive ends in the league, Burns looks to be set for a hefty pay raise.
