Based on Philadelphia’s record with A.J. Brown and their strong pass defense, my Rams vs. Eagles prediction is the Eagles Spread (-3, -110).
The logical place to start here is the quality of Philadelphia’s defense, which has made massive strides since the bye week.
In Weeks 1-4, the Eagles ranked 28th in defensive EPA per play and 20th in defensive success rate. Since Week 6, they’re first in both categories.
Perhaps most important for this matchup is their record defending the pass.
The Eagles’ 37% defensive success rate against the pass tops the NFL and leads the second-placed Lions by 2.9%.
That’s a bigger gap than Detroit owns over the fifth-placed Steelers.
Philadelphia is 8-1 SU this season when allowing under 255 passing yards. The only loss? A fluke defeat in Week 2 to Atlanta.
On Sunday, they get a Rams offense averaging only 240 passing yards per game, without adjusting for strength of schedule.
The Eagles have also yet to lose a game this season when Brown is in the lineup.
