  • The Seahawks are a 1-point home underdog against the Cardinals.
  • The road team has won each of the Seahawks' last six games.
  • My Seahawks vs. Cardinals prediction is for Arizona to win outright.

With four straight wins to their name, the Cardinals travel to Seattle on Sunday for a divisional matchup against the Seahawks.ย

Arizonaโ€™s Week 10 bye came in the midst of strong results. Sitting at 6-4 with four straight wins, the Cardinals currently lead the NFC West and sit third in the NFC playoff picture.ย

Seattle earned only their second win in their previous seven games in Week 11. As heavy underdogs against the 49ers, the Seahawks used a last-gasp touchdown to win 20-17.ย

Seahawks vs. Cardinals Prediction

Based on Arizonaโ€™s strong offensive metrics and their rest advantage on Sunday, my Seahawks vs. Cardinals prediction is the Cardinals Moneyline (-110).ย

In the same way Seattle enjoyed a rest advantage over San Francisco last week, theyโ€™ll face a similar disadvantage against the Cardinals.ย

That makes this a great sell-high spot on the Seahawks off a shocking victory. Historically, teams at a rest advantage tend to struggle, especially in divisional games.ย

Since 2003, teams with 14-15 days between games playing a division foe with seven days between games are 96-61.ย

When that team is the market favorite, they improve to 70-21. Even when those teams fall between -3 and -1, theyโ€™re still 25-9.ย

In addition to those trends, I love the matchup of Arizonaโ€™s offense against Seattleโ€™s defense.ย

Arizona ranks 10th in offensive DVOA, including seventh in pass offense DVOA.ย

Most importantly, Arizona rates out as one of only three teams inside the top 10 that have played a top-10 schedule of opposing defenses.

This marks Seattleโ€™s fifth game against an opponent 10th or better in both categories. Theyโ€™re 1-3 SU in the previous three, with the lone win coming at a rest advantage.ย

Otherwise, theyโ€™re 0-3 SU with losses by 12, 13 and 21 points.ย

On the other side of the ball, Arizonaโ€™s defense has quietly improved. Theyโ€™re 12th in defensive DVOA, having faced the third-hardest set of opposing offenses.ย

Most importantly, Arizona ranks 12th in pass defense DVOA. That should set them up for success against a Seattle offense that is markedly better through the air.ย

As a result, grab the Cardinals at a short price to win on Sunday in Seattle.ย
