Seahawks Over Under Wins, 2025 NFL Win Totals

For the 2025 NFL season, the Seahawks’ win total sits at 7.5 wins at the BetMGM online sportsbook. 

Despite finishing with 10 wins, the Seahawks fell short of the postseason in 2024. Despite a second straight winning season, Seattle moved on from Geno Smith in the offseason. 

Sam Darnold arrives in the Pacific Northwest as the headline move of the offseason, with D.K. Metcalf heading to Pittsburgh. As a result, oddsmakers project Seattle last in the NFC West. 

Here’s a look at the NFL odds for Seattle’s 2025 win total and my Seahawks win total prediction. 

Seahawks Win Total Odds

The Seahawks’ season win total is set at 8.5 games. 

It’s predicted Seattle is more likely to finish this season with eight or fewer wins. Currently, the Seahawks are -140 to go under their win total, an implied probability of 58.3%. 

Conversely, the Seahawks are +120 to finish over this total. That implies a probability of 45.5%.

Based on Seattle’s looming regression and the myriad personnel changes to their offense, I predict the Seahawks finish Under 8.5 Wins (-140). 

BET: Seahawks Over 7.5 Wins @ -145

BET: Seahawks Under 7.5 Wins @ +120

For the second straight season, Seattle wildly outperformed their expected win-loss record. 

Thanks to a 3-1 record in games decided by under a field goal, the Seahawks finished 2.1 wins over expected, per ftnfantasy.com. 

Only four other teams – Washington, Minnesota, Philadelphia and Kansas City – experienced greater fortune from an expected overperformance in 2024. 

Dating back to 2023, the Seahawks accumulated 19 wins off 16.5 expected. In games decided by less than a field goal, the Seahawks own a 7-2 record. 

In games decided by less than a touchdown: 12-6 overall. 

Incredibly, Seattle managed to stave off regression in 2024 despite a trend working against them.

Since 2021, seven teams posted at least an 80% win percentage in field goal games while playing at least five such contests. 

The 2024 Seahawks are the only team to improve upon the previous year’s win total in spite of that fact. For the six other teams, they combined to see an average decline of 5.3 wins. 

While I generally buy Seattle’s defense – they ranked 10th in defensive DVOA last year against the hardest set of offenses – I’m puzzled by the offensive personnel changes. 

Darnold moves from an offensive-minded head coach to a defensive-minded leader. Plus, Cooper Kupp for D.K. Metcalf and Tyler Lockett feels a downgrade in the aggregate. 

The last element worth considering here is that Darnold’s arrival may lead to exposure for a bad offensive line. 

According to PFF, the Seahawks ranked 26th in pass-blocking grades and 24th in run-blocking grades last season. That’s a big problem for new offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak. 

If Darnold’s mobility and lessened creativity compared to Smith becomes an issue, I question if the offense can keep up with a strong defense. 

Pair that with my optimism around the 49ers, Cardinals and Rams, and I like the under on Seattle’s win total.
