Eagles Super Bowl Prediction: Odds Breakdown for Philadelphia

As of Jan. 9, the Eagles Super Bowl odds are +1300, with an implied probability of 7.1%. Prior to the 2024 NFL season, Philadelphia was +900 to raise the Vince Lombardi Trophy. 

They also possess +700 odds – an implied probability of 12.5% – to win the NFC Championship at the BetMGM online sportsbook. 

In terms of the Super Bowl, the Eagles finished a semi-popular bet. Philadelphia received 9.1% of all tickets (second-most) and 8.4% of the handle (fourth-most).

After an amazing 10-1 start to the regular season, Philly’s underlying metrics fell off a cliff toward the end of the season, largely because of their offense. 

In Week 1 through Week 12, the Eagles ranked fifth in offensive EPA per play and 23rd in defensive EPA per play. 

From Week 13 onward – they lost five of six over that span – their offense regressed to 14th in EPA per play while their defense also dropped to 31st in EPA per play. 

Starting with Week 13, bettors saw them surrender 42 points to the 49ers and 33 points to the Cowboys, likely their challengers for the NFC crown. 

Given the Eagles lost both of those games, I question their path to the Super Bowl, even if they win their wild-card game against the Buccaneers. 

Unless surprise riddles the first playoff round, head coach Nick Sirianni’s team will play most of their games away from home. 

Entering the playoffs, the Eagles have lost three straight road games and four of their previous six. 

Against good home teams like the 49ers, Cowboys and Lions, the Eagles will easily falter. 

Steer clear of the Eagles in the futures market accordingly.
