Trent Williams Contract: Salary, Guaranteed Money

Trent Williams has long been considered the gold standard for tackles in the NFL. 

PFF graded Williams as the No. 2 offensive tackle in the league in 2023. His skill and stability on the left side of the offensive line have a lot to do with San Francisco’s current on-field success. (It translates pretty well to the NFL betting side of things, too.) Williams was traded from Washington in April 2020 and signed a long-term deal with the 49ers the following year.

With the Brock Purdy contract now entering its third year, many of San Francisco’s top performers are positioning to get more money added to their contracts now.

That includes Williams, who is holding out of 2024 training camp in the hopes that his contract will be refreshed. 

Trent Williams Contract

Trent Williams signed a six-year, $138.06 million contract on March 17, 2021. 

Williams, who turned 36 in July, is entering the fourth year of the contract. The current deal gives San Francisco control of Williams’ rights through 2026. 

Trent Williams Salary

Trent Williams will make a base salary of $20.05 million in 2024. His contract also calls for a $100,000 workout bonus and a weekly bonus of $44,117 for each game he’s on the active roster.

Over the life of the contract, Williams’ contract is $23.01 million. 

Trent Williams Guaranteed Money

Trent Williams’ contract includes a total of $55.1 million in guaranteed money. 

The guarantees were all paid out prior to 2024, meaning the 49ers have a clear contractual out if they ever wanted to cut him. 

Fortunately for Williams, he’s far too valuable on the field for that to be a decision worth considering.
