Sam Howell, the Washington Commandersโ€™ quarterback, played college football at North Carolina. His college career ran from 2019-21 before he was drafted in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Howell was a prolific quarterback for the Tar Heels under head coach Mack Brown, ultimately starting 37 games across three seasons.ย
