The British Open cut is not the same as most PGA Tour events. After two rounds, the top 70 players and ties make it to the weekend.

Most PGA Tour events have a cut to the top 65 players and ties after the first two rounds.

At the Masters, the top 50 players and ties play the weekend, the PGA Championship, the top 70 players and ties play the weekend and at the U.S. Open the top 60 players and ties play the weekend.

Specific to 2023 and Royal Liverpool, early in the second round the cut is projected to be +3 or +4.

Rain is expected over the weekend.

In 2014, the last time the course hosted the Open Championship, the cut was +2.
