Regarding Brighton, the Seagulls thoroughly dominated newly promoted teams last season.
Even though they finished 1-2-0 (W-D-L) in the three home games against such teams, two were played on short rest following a Thursday match, with one featuring a Brighton red card.
Still, they managed to post a +6.7 post-shot xGDiff in the two matches played on level terms, per fbref.com.
Plus, Fabian Huerzler’s side dominated Manchester United in their lone home match of the season. The game finished 2-1 Brighton, but the Seagulls won the psxG battle 2.5-0.4.
