Based on the construction of Arizona’s schedule, I predict the Cardinals are worth a bet to Make the Playoffs (+140).
For Arizona to reach the postseason, bettors are ultimately deciding whether it can reverse its fortunes against good offenses year over year.
The Cardinals started slowly in 2024 by losing four of its first six.
Defensively, Arizona ranked 31st in EPA per play and 32nd in success rate over that span on plays excluding turnovers, per rbsdm.com.
But that stretch coincided with the most difficult part of Arizona’s schedule. For the season, all six of those teams ranked ninth or better in offensive DVOA with an average rating of 15.27.
